The Beginnings at PosAbilities program is tailored for children up to age 6, we focus on communication, social, and school readiness. Our structured approach fosters curiosity, creativity, and positive social interactions. With a team of BCBAs, RBTs, and BTs, we seamlessly blend ABA and ESDM principles into daily routines, mimicking a preschool environment. This method builds comfort and confidence as children develop crucial skills including communication, self-advocacy, play, motor skills, and more. By combining evidence-based ABA practices with a nurturing preschool-like atmosphere, we ensure not just developmental progress, but also enhanced self-efficacy and emotional intelligence.
Working with one of our BCBAs we will develop an individualized treatment plan based client and family needs. A behavioral therapist, working under the supervision of your BCBA, works one on one with clients implementing the individualized treatment plan.
ABA sessions will (1) develop new skills (2) shape and refine previous learned skills (3) decrease socially significant problem behaviors. During ABA therapy sessions, clients work on communication skills, social skills, self-help skills and daily living skills.
We host social skills groups at our center to provide our clients with a fun and loving environment to socialize with their peers. Our BCBAs and Behavior Therapist work together to plan fun activities that our clients enjoy while working on their social skills goals.
We offer on site school break programs during the winter, spring and summer school breaks. Our programs are designed as school break camps with lots of opportunities for learning through fun and age appropriate activities. Our programs are held in our clinics in Herndon and Leesburg.
